Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Leaks: Major Upgrades in Performance, Gaming, and AI for Mid-Range Phones

Qualcomm’s latest mid-range chipset is heating up the competition.  While we are speaking about the Snapdragon 8 series, Qualcomm is cooking up the mid-range segments. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is floating in the wild.  As per Evan Blass QCTSD7SG3 is the number of Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.  Here is what he said in the X portal.

As in the camera side of things Qualcomm has opted to give Triple ISP, AI Remoasic, and Video Retouch options as per Evan Blass.

For the connectivity, Qualcomm has opted to give 5G modem with RF system, FastConnnect Mobile Connectivity System and Bluetooth 5.4.

For the performance point from previous chip Snapdragon 7S Gen 2, the Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 will be 20% improved CPU, 40% faster GPU, 30% Better AI performance and 12% overall power saving.

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, model number SM7635, is expected to be manufactured by TSMC, unlike the Samsung-produced 7s Gen 2

From the gaming perspective, Qualcomm has decided to give Adaptive Perf engine 3.0, VRS Pro, and AFME for better gaming performance even though it’s a mid-range chip.

For the audio perspective, there is Spatial Audio, Aqustic Speaker Max with Hi-FI DAC option, and Qualcomm aptX lossless audio for better audio quality.

In the AI front Qualcomm has decided to give Gen AI support and multi-language translation and transcription to enhance the AI capabilities in the Phone.

With this SoC, Qualcomm aims to boost competition in the affordable mid-range segment. As the launch date nears later this year, additional details about the chipset are expected to emerge. The initial leaks from Evan Blass on X have generated significant interest, and further information is anticipated as the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 gets closer to release.
