Follow these steps to send message to unknown number

Step 1

Open WhatsApp and send the number to someone or to yourself.

Step 2

Click the number that you have sent (do not long press the number instead just try clicking) and you have three popup displayed.

1) Chat with XYZ number

2) Call on WhatsApp

3) Add to contacts

You can now start chatting with the number by selecting the first option (Chat with xyz number)
