OPPO A53s 5G launched with Mediatek Dimensity 700 | Specifications Price and Launch offers

OPPO INDIA HAS LAUNCHED THE OPPO A53S in India today this phone is Successor to the A53 4G which was launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon 460

Oppo has launched the A53s in the mid range sub 15k segment actually this is the sweet spot for the smartphone market and this segment is dominated by Redmi and realme phones and read the content to know more about the oppo a53s and how this phone fairs among the competitors in the same price segment.

OPPO A53S PRICE AND LAUNCH OFFERS

OPPO A53s is priced at Rs. 14,990 for the 6GB + 128GB model and Rs. 16,990 for the 8GB + 128GB model and this phone will go on sale from May 2nd 12 noon and currently will be available in Flipkart and later will be available in offline stores too and as of now no update on the offline availability and while coming to the offers Flipkart is offering 10 percent instant discount upto Rs. 1,250 on HDFC Bank Credit card, non-EMI transactions ,Credit Card EMI, and Debit card

OPPO A53S SPECIFICATIONS

This phone comes in two different colors with Ink Black and Crystal Blue colors and with the Dual 5G support

Even though the phone packs 5000mAh high capacity battery the phone weighs just 189.6 grams thanks to the plastic back panel and has the thickness of 8.4mm and comes with a TYPE C charging port

Though they have given a plastic back it has a gradient design in the back and which makes the phone look attractive and this is the tried and tested design for oppo which we seen in the past for quite sometime

When we look at the front it comes with a small dew drop notch which makes the phone look slightly outdated ,

they would have gone with the punch hole design which we have seen in the OPPO A53 Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 model

As far the connectivity this phone has Dual VoLTE and VoWi-Fi support and also has the Wi-Fi 5 support and the company claims that it has Dual-Mode 5G,currently we don’t have 5G support in India so this feature will be useless at least for now.

This phone has a minimum of 128GB storage and has a dedicated sd card slot for storage expansion upto 1TB and thanks for the UFS 2.2 support for better read/write speed when compared to the older emmc storage and come with 6GB and 8GB of RAM options

This phone packs 6.5 inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) IPS LCD display with 88.7 percent screen-to-body ratio and comes with standard 60Hz refresh rate and company claims it has a Ultra Clear Eye-care Display

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and this is the second phone in India after the Realme 8 5G to be powered by Dinmensity 700 .

In terms of camera OPPO is not playing any megapixel game unlike the competitors , this phone features an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 lens for selfies with 79 Degrees of field of view and on the rear it packs a triple camera setup which includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, a 2-megapixel macro shooter with an f/2.4 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens

As far the software this phones comes with Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 on top

Instead of including those 2MP depth and macro they would have ignored those cameras and provided an ultra wide angle shooter and not sure about the camera performance in low light as the primary shooter has a narrow aperture

Verdict

kudos to OPPO for choosing the Mediatek Dimensity 700 processor at an attractive price tag but only the processor is not enough in a smartphone but as far the battery life this phone will not disappoint as it has an efficient Dimensity 700 with a lower resolution display so should lasts longer than most of the phones in the price segment when we look at the specs it packs a mediocre specs for the price tag when we look at the competition offering FULL HD display with high refresh rate and even some are offering AMOLED display at this price range , Oppo F17 ( https://amzn.to/3aIR3q2 ) currently selling in Amazon for around 15k with coupon discount and bank offers , if someone is looking for a OPPO phone in the price range of 15000 can consider the F19 with an AMOLED Display and comes with compact form factor and seems to be a balanced OPPO phone in the price range .
